Valérie MADESCLAIRE

"Le Ligator" Bookbinder

Valérie Madesclaire’s passion for books and the ancient and traditional crafts lead to her becoming a bookbinder specialising in the traditional ways of binding using tradional tools and methods.

After six years of training in Normandy, and at the School Des Arts Décoratifs du Livre de Paris (UCAD), she started practicing her craft in Bayonne, France, in 1997.
